Chocolate Chip Pear Bites

From her fabulous website, the Chocolate Chip Pear bites specially catch my attention. The ingredients are sometimes far too healthy to be found in the supermarkets that surround me, but I could adjust the ones in this recipe with stuff found in my kitchen cabinet.

Chocolate Chip Pear Bites

So here is what I did:

Chocolate Chip Pear Blondie Bites

  • 1 egg
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 100 g whole wheat flour
  • 100 g chocolate chips
  • 60 ml sunflower oil
  • 1 medium ripe pear
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat the oven at 160 °C and line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases. Peal and chop the pear into small pieces.
Stir together the sugar, oil, vanilla and lightly beaten egg until combined. Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and stir until just combined. Fold in the pear pieces and chocolate chips. 
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases and bake for 18  minutes.

I never thought whole wheat flour could taste so amazing. Brilliant mid-morning snack, totally recommended!

Chocolate Chip Pear Bites
